Kanon (2006) - Episode 3 October 31
Late again. Oh, well, seems it can’t be helped - I am always either busy, or watching something old & long. Like Cardcaptor Sakura for example… 70 episodes is not very much, but watching them eats all my free time. But I can be excused, right? It’s Sakura after all :).
But now we must speak about Kanon. Hm… What can I say as an intro? Only that I would like them to add one more girl to this show. Someone with “Nyaa~” and nekomimi. Or only “Nyaa~” at least…
Summary: Briefly about this series:
- Yuuichi bring girl home. Akiko and Nayuki make same comment about “big ingredient”.
- Girl is woken up by codeword “food” and during the dinner it turns out that she does not remember anything except that she hates Yuuichi for some reason.
- Akiko agrees to allow girl to stay in the house for a night.
- Yuuichi tries to give girl a name - Satsumura Kyouko, but she refuses.
- At the night, “Kyouko” sneaks to the fridge to find some food, but is noticed by Yuuichi who drops a piece of konnyaku in her shirt scaring her to death.
- On the next day, in the school Yuuichi sees a girl he met with Ayu and goes out to speak with her.
- He finds out that this girl is a student of the same school, but is ill and does not attend classes. Girl’s name is Shiori and she came to meet someone in the school.
- After school, Yuuichi meets Ayu (he-he, meets, right…) who tells him she is looking for something important but she can’t remember for what.
- Yuuichi suggests to help her and they visit some places that Ayu frequents, but with no result. They only find a place where Ayu remembers that there was a cake store, but finds only a bookstore there.
- It turns out that Ayu does not know what a cellphone is.
- When Yuuichi returns home, a newfound girl tells hem, that her name is Sawatari Makoto.
- We see Mai with a sword at the school in the night.
Impression: It’s easy to write something you did not like. But to write about what you like is much harder. So, let me say it so - there was nothing I did not like in this episode. Even the joke repeated 3 times was good - Baka Yuuichi just has not enough sense of humor to understand it…
Oh yes, I practiced “Uguu~”ing for more than 2 hours and can now “Uguu~” almost as good as Ayu :).
Top 5 Best Moments:
5. He-he, she jumped on his back :). It’s good idea - she must attack him from the back if she wants to hug him and not a tree.
4. Just cute. Words are not needed.
3. “Big ingredient”. Right, it’s big. And noisy. And greedy. Are they sure it’s not Asuka?
2. “Satsumura Kyouko”. Well, Yuuichi has a good fantasy. And A.F.K translator has a good fantasy too - I liked their “Killerina Evilova“.
