So, it came time for third series of Death Note. I noticed that I have less time for blogging that I expected, so I am going to: a) Slightly change post format. I will put screenshots, short summary, and my thoughts about episode on one day, as soon as I can, and add full summary 1-2 days later. b) I will blog only 4 anime at once. I was going to blog at least 6 after I get used to it, but seems that I just do not have enough time… So 4 will be enough. Death note, Kanon, Negima!?, and… and… Well, I have not decided yet :).

You may ask, why I need to add full summary for episodes, if no one will read them anyway (many people use RSS to get updates, so they will not revisit site just to read something that is posted on about hundred other blogs – they even will not be notified of update…)? Well, personally I like to read summaries of serials that I could not watch when they were aired and have no time to watch now… And because of it, visiting a site and finding no summaries… It just feels strange to me :).

Summary: Briefly about this series:
- “L” suspects that the culprit is a student & that he has a “little” megalomania.
- “L” also asks police to check, if pictures of victims faces were available to Kira.
- Chief of Japanese investigators turns out to be Light’s father.
- Light can freely access his father’s computer data, so he always knows how things are going.
- Light finds out that “L” suspects that Kira is a student.
- So he starts so specify victim’s time of death in Death Note and makes them die every hour, 23 per day.
- “L” understands Light’s “message” that he can freely kill people when he wants to, and also understands that Kira knows that they know (:P) that he is a student.
- Light explains to Ryuk, that his actions will make police & “L” to suspect each other and help him to find “L”.
- 3 man retire from the investigation – they are afraid that Kira will kill everyone who stands in his way.
- Ryuk notice a “tail” following Light.
- Ryuk tells Light about differences between human and Shinigami in Death Note usage:

1. After killing someone, Shinigami adds victim’s possible left lifespan to his own.
2. Shinigami can freely see victim’s name & lifespan by simply looking it’s face.
3. Shinigami can give this ability to human in exchange on half of the human’s lifespan.

Impression: Hmm… What can I say… There was no action in this episode at all. Well, it seems that there is not much action in the whole series, but this was the most “talkative” from the 3 already released. First investigators, then Light, then “L”, then Ryuk… They all were talking. Sitting and talking. Standing and talking. Flying and talking. Glaring and talking. O, yeah, prisoners were not talking – they were dying and had no time to talk. But in this talk at least something became clear – why Light is not afraid of police too much, a part of his plan to make police look for “L” in his place and so on… And we now know why Shinigamis kill people – everybody wants to live, right? I am very interested if Light can carry out his plan, because it seems too risky to me and I am sure it will become even more risky soon. Waiting for the next episode…

Top 5 Best Moments:

5. “L”’s computer. Something like Mac I think… I’ve never seen a real Mac, so can be easily mistaken. Anyway, I liked it - mine is too ugly =^_^=.



4. Light’s face while he asks his sister to study. He looks so tired of “all this” that I feel happy I have no sisters whose homework I must do. But on the other hand if we remember “Chokotto Sister”…



3. Frightened policemen. Well, 3 of hmm… many – is not that bad. But it’s only a beginning… Much more will run away. I think. I would run.



2. Death God’s eyes. Hay, it’s like in RTS – you see unit’s names & life bars. And it is even purchasable as an upgrade! Really cool.



1. Light’s plan so far. No, really. On this stage it seems like he has planes something big & I want to know what. But I do not want to read manga. But I want to know. But…
