You know, when I wrote words - “Kanon (2006) - Episode 2 - Introit in the Snow”- I once again thought, that it will be very difficult for me to stop myself from watching original version of Kanon… Because I really want to know what happened, what is happening & what happens next in this snowy town. But on the other hand I do not want to watch 2006 year version knowing everything…What shell I do? :(
But until I solve this problem, here are my few words about the second episode…

Summary:
Girl always seeing the same dream & wishing to open her eyes and see something different. What can be more touching? Maybe to see at last, who this girl is? Anyway. Yuuichi wakes up in the morning with some help from the strange alarm clock that Nayuki gave him previous evening. “Lets eat and go to school” – it is much better than mine clock, but seems that Yuuichi does not like it. Suddenly, he hears a terrible sound from the next room – all Nayuki’s alarm clock ring at once. He enters the room and to his surprise founds out that Nayuki is still sleeping peacefully. And “Mmmmeee”ing… He stops all alarms and with great difficulty wakes Nayuki-sleepyhead up.

During the breakfast becomes known that Yuuichi does not like sweet things and Akiko offers him a jam that as she says is not sweet. Nayuki seems to be afraid of something and for no apparent reason leaves the room saying she must hurry to school. After tasting the jam, Yuuichi understands her reasons – this “secret type” jams makes him feel… Well… Not quite good :). And seems that Akiko is only one who can make this jam. I wonder, why? Or is it better for me not to know? He is saved by Nayuki who reminds him that it’s already time to go to school, but before they leave, Akiko asks Yuuichi to buy ingredients for the hodge-podge on his way home.

On the way to school, Nayuki asks Yuuichi, if he remembers this area, but he does not. Nayuki tells him, that she finds it a little sad, and that she believes, that if there is at least one person wishing for him to remember, he must try his best. Suddenly they notice, that they are being late, and run to school. Yuuichi really was not born for running – he is totally exhausted when they reach school, and is envious of Nayuki who is totally fine.

Yuuichi end up in the same class as Nayuki (and Kaori and Kitagawa BTW) who seems to be very happy about this. After school, as Nayuki and Yuuichi talk about their abilities. Nayuki tells him, that her only strength is running, but he tells her, that he know one more – ability to fall asleep standing. Heh, very funny, what a joker -_-. Yuuichi asks Nayuki not to tell anyone that he is staying at her place, but she has already told everyone in the morning. And here is a divine punishment – after some second she falls from the stairs right on the heads of two girls - Mai and Sayuri. Everybody is OK, and as the girls leave, Yuuichi notices that they are third year students – he can tell it by the blue ribbons on their uniforms (Nayuki’s are red).

Top 5 Best Moments:

5. Nayuki not waking up in spite of ringing of ringing of about 10 alarm clocks. That was just too cute for me… Someone who can not wake up using one alarm clock is already strange. Someone who can’t wake up using ten – is ten time stranger. And you must already know that “I like strange girls” (Can’t remember whose quote is this :(. But it’s about me for sure).



4. Yuuichi eating jam. I really do not want to know this jam ingredients. Really. Poor Yuuichi… but he deserves it for waking Nayuki up.



3. Ayu trying to hug Yuuichi. She ran in a tree in such a cute way… I can’t describe it by word. You must feel yourself how this cuteness runs right into the tree because some idiot… I mean, Yuuichi, moves out of the way.



2. “-I turned to find Kaori Misaki standing behind me” – “-Why are you describing the situation?”. Anime remembers it’s past, when there were only static pictures & story was told from the first person view. I almost fell from the chair upon hearing this dialogue.



1. “-Was not expecting such a ordinary introduction.” – “-If there is such a thing as an unordinary introduction…” Hearing how Kyon is saying that there are no unordinary introductions… Well, that was really shocking. I already knew that Kyoto Animation can put in good references to their past works, but this was just brilliant.
